Moved in and settled..................

Hello anyone that still checks my blog. We have had and absolutely crazy summer but I think things might slow down a bit. Then again maybe not............Jamie has less than a month left in the Marine Corps and our little boy is about to start pre-school.

Yes you read it right we are getting out of the military in less than a month. It is a bit unsettling but we are confident that Jamie will ease into the civilian world with no problem. He is negotiating with people that he works with who have approached him about job possibilities and things continue to look good. I know most of you are wondering why we don't have a job already lined up but Jamie actually does not officially get out of the Marines until November but since we have saved our leave over the last couple of years he is allowed to take terminal leave at the end of his contract so that is why he is out in August. Whew that was a keyboard full!!

Next is that our little boy who is not so little anymore will be starting pre-school at the end of August. It is bitter sweet because he is SO excited that he can hardly stand it and I am excited for him. I will keep you updated on how it goes.
Now I know most of you who read this blog already know that we have bought a house in Spotsy and have been awaiting some pictures after we moved in. Well wait no more because here they are.

I need to get back on the blog train!!

I know I have been really slacking in keeping this blog up. We have been so busy lately it has just been exhausting! We are in the process of buying our first house and it has been kind of nerve racking but also very exciting. I will post some pictures soon of the house. We have also been refinishing furniture and getting rid of some things that have been cluttering the house. We also have sold Jamie's jeep. For those of you who didn't know that was his "baby" and it was a hard decision for him but in the end I think he is ok with a deserving 16 year old ending up with it.

Also this weekend was a first. Addison slammed Brynn's fingers in the car door. Not the first time that there has been a brother sister fight that resulting in bodily injury and I am sure not the last. Don't worry her fingers are fine bearing only a small scrape but her feelings are a very different story. For the rest of that day she would look at her finger and then look at me with such a sad teary face and say "bubba slammed my fingers in the door" followed by "bubba hurt my feelings" It almost made me want to cry. Much to my surprise Addison was equally upset after seeing her finger bleeding. I guess there is some fondness between them!!
